AMP Bank Executive to be Panellist at TAS Report Launch Event

We are delighted to have Ryan Gonsalves from AMP Bank join us on the event panel at our upcoming Experteq Banking Industry Report launch on August 16.

About Ryan Gonsalves

Ryan heads innovation and change at AMP’s Australian Retail Bank. Born in England, he started his career as a Professional football (soccer) player at Huddersfield Town, before moving on to play semi-professional around Europe, and coaching in the US. That team ethic and the need for a single, cohesive, passionate strategy has underpinned his work in global giants General Electric and HSBC, in Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and now Australia.

Ryan’s focus for AMP is to foster a culture of banking innovation that will deliver on the strategy to become the banking provider of choice for intermediaries. In doing so, it requires the development of targeted, market-leading product propositions that build on the AMP customer strategy through a market leading human-centred customer-experience that creates an irrational bias for selecting AMP’s banking solutions.

Ryan joined AMP in March 2017 following 9 years in HSBC’s Global Retail Banking & Wealth Management team, based in Hong Kong. During that time, he travelled extensively across the HSBC global footprint, driving thought-leadership research to develop and implement innovative product propositions and leading the multi-jurisdiction award winning home ownership journeys.

Prior to AMP and HSBC, he spent 9 years at GE Capital where he held various roles in Sales, Marketing and as a Six Sigma and Lean Black Belt.

Ryan holds an honours degree in Marketing & Modern Languages, a Chartered Institute of Management Accountants Diploma, and a Global MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School. Although he still plays football, Ryan is more likely to be seen as a coach or hopeless triathlete. He lives in Sydney, with his wife and their 3 young sons.
