Victoria Teachers Mutual Bank’s (VTMB) needed to significantly uplift their mobile and internet banking platforms. With approximately 97% of the bank’s 100,000 plus daily transactions being digital, this critical business channel required a robust, reliable and secure hosting solution to support and manage their new digital environment. With a more tightly integrated solution, VTMB would then be assured of the ability to drive innovation and improve functionality in an agile manner moving forward.
The Challenge:
Fast growing online bank, VTMB, needed to significantly uplift their mobile and internet banking platforms and required a robust, reliable and secure hosting solution to support and manage the new digital environment. And with approximately 97% of the bank’s 100,000 plus daily transactions being digital, the infrastructure was a critical element for this channel of the business.
“We needed to develop and implement a secure, redundant and high performance solution, which included network backbones. The server and architecture needed to be robust and consistent across multiple data centres to achieve desired requirements,” said Mark Thomson, Executive Manager in VTMB’s – Technology Department.
Operating in the highly competitive Financial Services sector, VTMB was acutely aware that providing new products and services to their members as crucial for delivering an outstanding customer experience. A more tightly integrated solution, with the ability to innovate and improve functionality in an agile manner, was highly desirable.
The Experteq Solution:
Experteq not only had the benefit of a partnership with VTMB’s preferred software, Vendor, who provided customised Ultracsapp and My View Point solutions from Ultradata – but offered the partnership more than 26 years of industry experience, capability and knowledge, enabling project success.
experteq’s collaborative and communications-centric approach to the project impressed the VTMB team, along with their quality of process and tracking of the project. Experteq’s efficient and effective design, implementation and testing process delivered VTMB the confidence needed for success.
“The whole project from planning to go live and then into operation mode has been seamless,” said Mr Thomson.
The Outcomes:
With the successful project launch this year, Experteq continues to manage the hosting of this feature of their business. For VTMB, one of the key benefits Experteq brings to all projects is a 24/7 onsite coverage service, which is particularly valuable asset for VTMB.
Mr Thomson concluded that Experteq’s impressive executive management team, deep understanding of the mutual bank industry and broad industry experience means further partnerships are highly likely.
“We want to build a more diverse relationship with them – our relationship with Experteq will evolve over the next 3-5 years,” Mr Thompson concluded.
