NETWORK AND SECURITY ENGINEER

Experteq is seeking a Network and Security Engineer who is accountable for the delivery of second level technical support across the Experteq network for core and non-core systems. To deliver Value Creation through service excellence and solution innovation and leading financial services solution provider, dedicated to the success of our clients.

The focus of the role is in supporting a variety of network systems which requires competent analytical skills, a logical approach to problem solving and a strong customer centric attitude including a courteous and helpful manner.

In addition, it is mandatory to be able available after normal business hours and weekends for support and diagnostic requirements relating to services within our data centres.

Additional key responsibilities are:

  • Provide level 1 and level 2 support to data centres for areas of network and front-end product delivery and associated integrated platforms.
  • Ensure service requests and incidents are resolved with contracted service levels agreements.
  • Escalate requests/faults to Experteq third level support as and when required.
  • Monitor alerts generated from OpManager/eG Monitoring tools.
  • Provide assistance to all other teams relying on the network infrastructure.
  • Provide assistance if required to senior technical staff on project and implementation of related tools for improving data centre efficiency and monitoring.
  • Update the network Design Documents and Network Diagrams for Customer networks.

Key Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Up to 5 years network related support
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of:
  • Security, LAN, WAN and MAN technologies
  • Networked Operating Systems
  • Load Balancing
  • VPN and Identity Management
  • Mobile Technologies not limited to BYOD
  • Network Monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Permanent unrestricted working rights in Australia
