Our commitment to the community

Experteq’s ongoing commitment to Pass it On: Supporting the homeless and spreading Christmas cheer

Experteq has proudly partnered with Pass it On for the last 2 years and is humbled to play a small part in the amazing work they deliver on a daily basis in supporting the homeless. It is customary for Experteq to financially donate to Pass it On’s Christmas campaign with Pass it On’s target to provide 400 presents to the homeless over the Christmas period, and this year Experteq continued that tradition. Whilst many of us are unwrapping the abundance of presents in the safety of our homes at Christmas, unfortunately, there are many who aren’t able to experience this through the challenges brought on by homelessness. Pass it On strives to bring some Christmas cheer and inclusivity through small gestures of Christmas presents to the homeless. For more information on how you can help the homeless over Christmas, please check out their Christmas campaign here.

Throughout the year, Pass it On provides the opportunity for Experteq to help through their clothing bin installation. Experteq team members are able to donate unwanted clothes, still in good condition, to help those who greatly need them, whilst also alleviating the potential of adding to landfill. The plight of homelessness isn’t improving and Pass it On’s worthy cause has resonated deeply with one of our teammates. Our very own Regina Samy is volunteering her time with Pass it On by handing out clothes through their weekly service at Parramatta.

Regina says of her experience: “Last month [November] marked my first service for the Pass It On clothing outreach program for the homeless, and it was an eye-opening experience. Engaging with our homeless friends during this challenging time of year, I was humbled by their strength and resilience. Despite the struggles they shared, there was an undeniable strength in their smiles. Being able to contribute to putting smiles on their faces became a memorable experience for me. It’s heartening to witness the impact of small acts of kindness. Inspired by this, I’ve committed to participating in this initiative every month. For me, giving back to the community has always been a strong belief, and participating in Pass It On is my small yet meaningful token of support.”

Pass it On has provided over 250,000 pieces of clothing to those doing it tough over 7 years at almost 1000 outreach services in Greater Sydney. They have seen more and more new faces each week reaching out for clothing, their data tells them the need has grown 22% already this year alone.
